As a professional working in the field of Human Resources (HR), I am particularly interested in fostering HR topics so that they decisively contribute to a company’s strategy. My main focus is on targeted development of those individuals who can lead a company to success through coaching. I also provide support through consulting on HR topics. I founded Andrea Schäfer Management Consulting in November 2008 to integrate both of these aspects, coaching and HR consulting, in my practice.

After 15 years of working for global companies such as Merck and Wella I have extensive experience in international operational and strategic human resources management. My active contribution to restructuring projects and change management activities during the takeover processes of Proctor & Gamble/Wella and Merck/Serono add to my professional profile.

After achieving a diploma in business administration, I continued my education by participating in a wide range of professional development programs, on topics such as leadership, communication, assessment tools as well as a training program on professional coaching, resulting in a certification and membership of the German national coaching association (Deutscher Bundesverband Coaching e.V. – www.dbvc.de).

Cooperation, confidentiality and a strong orientation towards implementation are the basic tenets of my work as an HR-consultant and a coach.
